This workshop focuses on core skills that is fundamental to bookbinding.
Further your skills and build confidence in traditional binding, with this useful class.

You will learn to cut, fold and sew a variety of single section books in soft and hard cover, then cover them with book cloth and decorative papers.

Create two A5 traditional hardcover booklets in different traditional binding styles and techniques.

Tools you will need:
Needle
Bone Folder
Ruler
Pencil
Awl
A paper cutting knife (straight-blade)
Cutting mat
Magazines for waste paper
PVA

Materials in your bookbinding kit:
Paper
Book Board
Linen thread
Book cloth
Decorative paper

Closing date for booking for those requiring materials delivery in the Sydney Metro areas is 4 days before class commences.

A full materials pack shall be couriered out to you, free post (no tools except needles).

This workshop booking is for one person only. Additional participants must book in individually, regardless of household arrangement or age.

This is a technical workshop suitable for beginners.

Refunds:
No refunds for Online workshops once commenced. A Zoom link shall be sent out to you a few days before. We shall start gathering students 10 minutes before the workshop. Lateness shall not be accommodated.
