The caterpillar stitch is one of the most intriguing and impressive of all the exposed sewing techniques. The sewing pattern which travels across the spine, begins on the cover with the antennae and head of the caterpillar and continues across the folds, sewing the signatures as you proceed onto the back cover.

Sew a giant “caterpillar” onto hardcover books with multiple signatures.

• Make decorative sewing a part of your binding expression
• Add visual drama to your one-of-a-kind books by incorporating the actual sewing of a book as part of its decoration.
