Take a favourite book, in paperback edition, join us for an easy workshop to turn your book into a hardback in no time at all.

You will learn to measure and cut your boards to fit your book. Be taught traditional bookbinding techniques to make a beautiful cover with specialty book cloth and marbled papers.

Your book will look professional and be beautifully finished.

A paper cutting knife (straight-blade)
Cutting mat
Magazines for waste paper

Materials you will need:
1 Paperback book of your choice
1 x A4 Book board
Thread
PVA
1 x Bookcloth A4 OR thin leather
2x decorative paper A4

Closing date for booking for those requiring materials delivery in the Sydney Metro areas is 4 days before class commences.

Should you choose to gather your own tools and materials, please ensure that all tools and materials are on hand within easy reach during the workshop. You will be expected to have everything on the list, or improvised at your own responsibility.

This is a technical workshop. No experience necessary, but the workshop requires a certain level of capability and confidence in using sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.

Refunds:
No refunds for Online workshops once commenced. A Zoom link shall be sent out to you a few days before. We shall start gathering students 10 minutes before the workshop. Lateness shall not be accommodated.
