This course focus on gorgeous spine work with multiple sections sewing, a complex and very beautiful stitch that is sewn onto tapes and the book block.
You will learn how to make:
A book covered with luxurious shimmery book cloth and decorative papers all the way from the Netherlands, sewn with ivory paper inserts.
• Keep your design traditional or interpret the technique with a more modern twist, • Learn a wealth of fun decorative possibility to add to your binding repertoire.
• Make this decorative sewing a part of your binding expression
• Add visual drama to your one-of-a-kind books by incorporating the actual sewing of a book as part of its decoration.

All materials and tools are supplied at the Bindery, along with self-serve tea, coffee and biscuits. Lunch - toasted sandwiches can be pre-ordered.
