This course is ONLY suitable for those with box making experience.

Taking box-making beyond the basics you will construct a multi-layered box structure based on traditional designs with book board and decorative paper. With practice, these straightforward techniques can be applied to other diverse shaped and styled boxes which will look great and can be used for anything from gift boxes to storage chests for home or office.

In this workshop you will complete:
• a three-tiered box.
• learn very precise measuring and cutting of board pieces
• cover a box in beautiful decorative paper

Materials:
Materials can be included, or you can supply your own. If you are sourcing materials yourself, you can use what is suggested below for ease.

Tools you will need:
Needle
Bone Folder
Ruler
Pencil
A board cutting knife (absolutely necessary)
Cutting mat
PVA

Materials you will need:
Bookcloth - at least 1/2M
Magazines for waste paper
2 x Book Board 2.35mm at least A1 Size

Closing date for booking for those requiring materials delivery in the Sydney Metro areas is 4 days before class commences.

Please note:
This is a technical workshop. The workshop requires a HIGH level of capability and confidence in using sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.

No refunds for Online workshops once commenced. A Zoom link shall be sent out to you a few days before. We shall start gathering students 10 minutes before the workshop. Lateness shall not be accommodated.
