Open-Flat Sketch Book - ONLINE - 23rd October (9.30am - 12pm)
$100.00 - $190.00
A sketchbook is a working document, a set of visual notes. It is a personal document that is a learning and recording tool.
Make a beautiful handmade sketchbook for either your own personal use as a journal, sketch-book or notebook; or give them as a much appreciated gift to a loved one. A perfect and unique present at any time of the year.
This workshop will teach you how to make:
A traditional botanical style book in a sewn-board binding technique; great for sketching and watercolours or ink pens. The book opens up flat, to ensure maximum space when sketching and painting. We shall alternate leaves of thinner drawing papers with thicker leaves of watercolour papers. Making a versatile sketchbook that is great for drawing, writing, journaling, watercolour painting and pen and ink.
We shall use luxurious artist grade art papers, finished in hardcover with your choice of specialty book cloth and beautiful decorative papers.
