What can you achieved in a few hours? Make a hard-back journal with your own fully designed and printed book cloth cover, sewn with a beautiful decorative stitch.
This fully lead (step-by-step) fast-paced workshop does just that.
You will learn:
• Block Printing skills (proper rollers and ink!)
• Print onto Book cloth
• Make a hard back book cover with your book cloth
• Fold, sew onto tapes, binding it into a book with the Butterfly knot technique
Whew! All done in 3 hours. Can we do it? Yes, we can!

Tools you will need:
A paper cutting knife (straight-blade)
Magazines for waste paper
Materials in your bookbinding box:
25 pieces A4 paper (at least 110gsm) short grain, folds down to A6
1 sheet A4 Book board
Block Printing ink 30g
Block printing rubber roller
Block Printing Block
Book cloth A4
Book cloth A5
Closing date for booking for those requiring materials delivery in the Sydney Metro areas is 4 days before class commences.

A full materials pack couriered out to you, free post (no tools except needles).
Materials for however many class you book for couriered out to you.
Select individual Premium tools or standard tool for purchase as necessary.
Should you choose to gather your own tools and materials, please ensure that all tools and materials are on hand within easy reach during the workshop. You will be expected to have everything on the list, or improvised at your own responsibility.
This is a technical workshop. The workshop requires a certain level of capability and confidence in using sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.
No refunds for Online workshops once commenced. A Zoom link shall be sent out to you a few days before. We shall start gathering students 10 minutes before the workshop. Lateness shall not be accommodated.
