For those who are at a Beginners level and above
While there are many variations of beautiful stitch designs to choose from, this class concentrates on a decorative criss-cross stitch pattern. Don't be deceived by the simplicity of this design, the technique promises a small challenge with beautiful result. You will work with the best of materials - leather all the way from Scotland, lined in luxurious cloth or decorative papers, sewn with waxed linen thread, with 100gsm cream art paper inserts and finished with a beautiful clasp. We are tempting you to come and be amazed at what you can achieve within a few hours work.
During this class you will:
• Fold and collate papers.
• Line your leather with cloth or decorative paper.
• Learn to sew a decorative stitch onto leather.
• Learn to finish with a decorative tie or clasp.
