Five Stitched Art Diaries - Series 1- Online - 20th Sept - 18th Oct weekly (7 - 8.30pm)
$250.00 - $350.00
Series 1 - Monday Evening Weekly
Join me for a series of creative stitching. If you like texture and sewing, you will like these books. Get into the rhythm of making with this 5 weeks course of evening bindings.
Watercolour paper for covers provides us with endless combination of book designs made through weaving, stitching, cutting and slotting.
Don't be deceived by the simplicity of these books. They are the gateway to accumulating knowledge of different types of sewing, how they come together, all the while making a solid structure that looks and feels good.
The books can become as complex or remain as simple as you would like. Change the materials, add some leather or other decorative covers and they become very substantial books.
Each evening shall focus on a different sewn binding, you will make a variation of each model:
• Long and Short Stitch Binding
• Slotted Stitch Binding
• Not so Secret Belgium Binding - A variation better than the original!
• Knotted Stitch Binding
• French Link Stitch
We will be using lovely thick paper, with a 300gsm watercolour for book cover.
