Wild Binders: Coptic Binding - Saturday 12th November

Coptic Stitch is a sewn plaited style pattern along the spine. This ancient binding evolved around the fourth century and is one of the earliest form of sewing pages together.
We shall learn to sew ONE Coptic book.

Time: 12pm - 1.30pm
All materials and tools are supplied at the Bindery, along with self-serve tea, coffee and biscuits. Lunch - toasted sandwiches can be pre-ordered.
Please note: No experience necessary, but the workshop requires a certain level of capability and confidence in using sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected. Some bookbinding or working with paper skills would be useful.
