Print Factory: School Years 9-12

Date: Wednesday 10th July
Time: 1.30pm - 4.30pm
Age: 15 - 18 (must be a student in school education)

In this workshop, students will embark on a creative journey to design and craft their own sketchbook diaries using bookbinding and printmaking techniques. They will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity while learning valuable skills in a fun and interactive setting.

Printmaking: Introduce the students to printmaking/stamping technique. They will create and carve lots of unique patterns or motifs on rubber blocks, using lino cutting tools.

Bookbinding: Teach the students basic bookbinding techniques to assemble their sketchbooks. They can fold and stitch together the pages, creating their own custom-made books to showcase their stories and illustrations.

With this workshop, students will have a blast creating their own sketchbooks while learning new skills along the way!

  • Provides a fun and engaging hands-on learning experience for children.

Please note:

  • Suitable for complete beginners, classes includes water, juice and snacks.

  • All materials and tools provided.

  • This is a technical workshop, anyone with enthusiasm for making books and sewing is welcome to join in. No experience is necessary, but the workshop requires the use of sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.

  • Drop off is or the morning session is from 9am and pick up by 1pm.

  • Drop off for the afternoon session is from 1pm and pick up by 5pm.

  • If you have signed onto both classes, we will supervised an hour’s lunch from 12.30pm - 1.30pm. Please bring a nut-free packed lunch, drink bottle and hat as we shall be lunching at the nearby park.

  • Older students booked from age 16+ is welcome to make their own way for lunch and with consent from parents, is able to arrive and leave on their own accord. A text message shall be sent to parents on the student’s arrival and departure.
