In this hands-on session aimed at box making skills, participants will delve into the art of constructing a beautiful and functional treasure box using traditional techniques. Students will learn to go beyond basic constructions, creating compartmentalised boxes adorned with exquisite decorative paper.
Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on precise measuring and cutting of board pieces; essential skills for crafting intricate box structures. Participants will gain proficiency in these techniques, enabling them to explore various shapes and styles, from gift boxes to desk sets to storage chests, with confidence.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will proudly depart with their own handmade treasure box, along with the newfound confidence to continue their crafting journey at home with minimal equipment. This immersive experience promises to elevate participants' box making skills and ignite their passion for traditional craftsmanship in bookbinding.

Suitable for those who have completed beginner level book binding. Includes tea, coffee and biscuits.

This is a technical workshop, anyone with enthusiasm for making books and sewing is welcome to join in. The workshop requires a certain level of capability and confidence in using sharp instruments and being able to follow verbal instructions is expected.
