Multiple section sewing techniques
Creating hardcovers
Covering in bookcloth
Casing your books in two different styles
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will depart with two of their own hand-bound journals and the skills to continue crafting at home with minimal equipment.

Please note:
This class is rated Level 1 in our course programme. As such it is NOT beginner-friendly.
Level 1 courses focus on traditional bookbinding and after 1A and 1B, does not have to be taken consecutively. 1A and 1B form the basic requirement to proceed to other courses in the bindery.
This is a technical workshop introducing intermediate bookbinding skills, improving your capability and confidence in using sharp instruments. You will need to have completed our Making Books by Hand 1 or already have some basic bookbinding skills.
