Discover the craft of traditional bookbinding at Owl & Lion Bindery, where centuries-old techniques are taught in a real working bindery. Located in Ultimo, Sydney, the bindery is led by Isabelle, a traditionally trained bookbinder and specialist gold finisher with over 15 years of teaching experience.
From absolute beginners to experienced binders, our workshops and courses offer a structured pathway through traditional bookbinding, fine binding, box making, restoration, paper marbling, and gold tooling in a welcoming, hands-on environment.
Terms & Conditions - GENERAL
Course Cancellation
Courses will only be cancelled due to unexpected circumstances and a full refund will be offered or an alternative class arranged.
We will make every effort to notify you of a cancellation, so it is important to provide both a daytime and evening phone numbers and email address.
Refunds
If you need to cancel your booking, please inform us as soon as possible. The cancellation is effective from the date your email is received.
No refund shall be given regardless of circumstance, however, we will offer alternative dates, transferring you to another class.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
ScHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS
Drop off is from 9am, pick up strictly by 3pm. (Class run from 9.30am - 2.30pm)
We will supervised an hour’s lunch from 12-1pm. Please bring a nut-free packed lunch, snacks, fruits, drink bottle and hat as we shall be lunching at the nearby park.
Older students from age 13+ is welcome to make their own way for lunch and with consent from parents, is able to arrive and leave on their own accord. A text message shall be sent to parents on the student’s arrival and departure.
Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before booking as refund is not permitted for change of mind.
