Learn how to give a much loved book a new life using the traditional case binding method.
In this practical workshop, you will learn how to carefully dismantle a book, prepare and resew the text block, and construct a new hard cover. We will cover the essential techniques of case binding, including sewing, gluing, rounding and backing, and attaching the finished case.
You will also learn how to type set and hand print the title of your book in gold foil, adding a beautiful finishing touch.
This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the fundamentals of rebinding and develop the skills needed to repair and restore books.

This class is suitable for those who can follow verbal and visual instructions and have basic crafting skills such as cutting, folding, and measuring.
This class is not suitable for those with no bookbinding experience, completing the Case-binding classes are necessary.
