Marbling is a centuries-old craft, where delicate pigments are floated on a silky surface, gently guided into intricate patterns, and transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art. With roots spanning from Persia and the Ottoman Empire to Renaissance Europe, this timeless practice is as mesmerising as it is expressive.
The Experience
Hosted by Isabelle McGowan, this intimate workshop blends gentle guidance with creative freedom. Through a series of demonstrations, your team will be introduced to a collection of traditional marbling patterns, before being invited to play, experiment, and design their own.
Expect moments of surprise, delight, and quiet focus as colours bloom and shift before your eyes. No two pieces are ever the same, each creation is a personal keepsake.
What Awaits You
Each guest will enjoy:
A curated selection of marbling papers (A4)
Premium large-format sheets (A3 and A2) for bold, expressive designs
Some may create a flurry of pieces, while others will savour a slower, more intricate process, both are equally rewarding.
All materials and tools are all provided, alongside tea, coffee, and delicious baking to enjoy throughout the session.

This is a playful, process-led experience, designed to spark creativity and connection, rather than a technical masterclass. There’s no pressure to perfect technique; simply an invitation to explore, experiment, and enjoy.
