Beginner Sewing Class: Sew and make your own Donut Cushion! - 10 - 15 years old - January 2027 TBC

Looking for a fun and creative activity for your child these holidays? This beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect introduction to the sewing machine, offering hands-on learning that builds confidence and sparks creativity.
What Your Child Will Learn:
Sewing Machine Basics: Learn the parts, features, and setup of a sewing machine.
Troubleshooting Skills: Solve common sewing machine issues.
Pattern cutting: Tracing, cutting and pinning
Core Techniques: Master hemming, finishing raw edges, and cutting fabric.
Exciting Project:
Kids will start with an exciting, confidence-building project of making their own Donut cushion for their room!
Workshop Details:
Guided by an experienced sewing instructor, participants will learn every step, from pattern layout to finishing touches.
What’s Included:
All materials and tools are provided, including fabric, thread, and needles. Children can also bring their own sewing machines if preferred.
This workshop is a fantastic way for children to learn a lifelong skill, create something special, and have fun.
Key Details:
Not a hand-sewing course! Your child will learn to use a sewing machine!
Suitable for complete beginners and those with intermediate sewing skills, with an enthusiasm for making and sewing and children who can safely use sharp tools and follow verbal instructions.
