from $120.00

Join our next class on the 24th May 2025
Time: 10am - 12pm
Cost: $120 Wild Binder

This workshop is for anyone interested in constructing and covering a traditional lidded box from scratch. You will learn how to measure and draw up your box using boards, then cover it with decorative paper. This is the first in a series exploring three essential styles of box-making.

This class serves as a prerequisite for those who wish to take more advanced box-making classes, such as the Solander Clamshell Box and the Treasure Box-making class.

Please Note:

  • This workshop is suitable for beginners with basic crafting, cutting, folding, and sewing skills.

  • While no prior bookbinding experience is required, this is a technical workshop, and participants should be comfortable using sharp instruments and able to follow verbal instructions.

  • Enthusiasm for bookmaking and sewing is essential, and a certain level of capability and confidence is expected.

  • Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided in abundance—because they’re essential!

  • All materials and tools will be supplied.

  • Please review our Terms and Conditions carefully before booking, as refunds are not permitted for change of mind.
