An Exclusive Opportunity for Bookbinding Training in Australia

$0.00

We provide a unique opportunity to train in the craft of bookbinding with Isabelle McGowan, a Master Bookbinder and Gold Finisher. This program offers structured, hands-on sessions combined with personalised mentoring, designed for individuals who are committed to learning bookbinding at a professional or advanced level.

Cost and Payment
The cost of the program is $1,200 per month. Sessions start at the beginning of any month and conclude at the end of that chosen month. Participants have the flexibility to start and stop on a monthly basis at any time.

This fee includes:

  • Use of all tools in the bindery.

  • Selected materials for projects.

  • Full instruction during all teaching sessions

Private Masterclasses
Participants receive one full-day private session with Isabelle McGowan each month. These sessions are tailored to individual needs and goals, focusing on general bookbinding, advanced techniques, skill development, and a deeper understanding of bookbinding practices.

Wild Binder Membership:
The Wild Binder Membership provides access to curated workshops, events, and open bindery days. It includes participation in Repairs and Restoration classes and the Artists Books group, which focuses on creative and experimental bookbinding techniques.

Unlimited Workshops:
Participants have unlimited access to all scheduled monthly workshops. These workshops cover various techniques and topics, accommodating different interests and skill levels.

Bindery Practice Days:
Two practice days are scheduled each month in the bindery, providing participants with time to apply what they have learned. Isabelle is available during these sessions for guidance and support.

Mentoring and Support:
Participants receive personalised mentoring throughout the program. This includes opportunities for discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and research guidance.

Additional Information:

  • Experience Level: Suitable for beginners and those with no prior bookbinding experience.

  • Class Structure: Formal teaching lessons may involve being taught independently or with other students. Participants must be able to work autonomously and commit to self-practice outside of formal teaching.
