The City and the Book is your journey into the exploration of research, inspiration, narrative and book-making.

Whether you're a seasoned creative bookbinder, a beginner, an artist or just curious, come and make an Artists’ Book with Isabelle. Tailored for drawing, printmaking, and creative book structures, no two workshops are ever the same.

Expand your bookbinding skills, share your ideas, and dive into the vibrant world of artists' books. The workshop is fully guided with clear instructions on how to make and complete a creatively structured book.

What to expect:

  • You will be constructing books

  • You might have to print and do little bits of drawing

  • You might have to colour-in and make decision about themes and designs

  • This class is a mix of bookbinding and art making.

Please Note:

  • This class is suitable for those who can follow verbal and visual instructions and have basic crafting skills such as cutting, folding, and measuring.

  • This class is not suitable for those with no bookbinding experience, completing the Introduction to Bookbinding: Chunky Journal class is highly recommended to build foundational skills before joining this session.

  • All materials and tools are provided, along with tea, coffee, and biscuits.
